Chicago, IL Bunting fabricated and installed more than 450 interagency transit information signs for the Chicago Transit Authority. The bus stop and transit map structures were fabricated from stainless steel to hold non-illuminated information graphics. The Stainless steel cabinets were custom fabricated with concealed fasteners and finished with a brushed horizontal grain. Cabinet faces were hinged to provide access to the cabinet interior. Abrasion-resistant clear polycarbonate served as the lens face with easy access for removal and replacement as required by maintenance. Gasketing and weep holes were added for the outdoor application. Bus stop signs were fabricated from .080 aluminum with vinyl and digitally printed copy.
